Beat the Heat with Henna Brows
Winter is well and truly gone and that means we’re heading back to the beach, getting outside more and undoubtedly having our makeup melt off in the Queensland heat. But, with henna brows or cosmetic tattooing, your brows will stay right were they should be, perfectly in place and beautifully enhanced.
The use of henna in beauty rituals actually dates back to the Pharaohs of Egypt some 9000 years ago; Cleopatra is even said to have used henna to adorn her body and beautify herself. It has been practised for centuries in the Middle East, India and Africa, and remains an important part of their culture, ceremonies and celebrations today.
Henna brows have grown in popularity in recent years, and are a great before-step for those who can’t quite commit to feather or ombre brow tattooing. But, it’s still long lasting compared to other temporary dyes, staying put for four to six weeks. Better yet, it’s a natural option as it’s made by crushing the henna plant into a powder, and then turning this into a paste.
