Winter is well and truly gone and that means we’re heading back to the beach, getting outside more and undoubtedly having our makeup melt off in the Queensland heat. The use of henna in beauty rituals actually dates back to the Pharaohs of Egypt some 9000 years ago; Cleopatra is even said to have used henna to adorn her body and beautify herself. It has been practised for centuries in the Middle East, India and Africa, and remains an important part of their culture, ceremonies and celebrations today.

Better yet, it’s a natural option as it’s made by crushing the henna plant into a powder, and then turning this into a paste.
