All eyes on you
If you’re tired of painstakingly applying eyeliner every morning, trying to get it even and having it somehow smudge and smear during the day, consider saving yourself the time and trouble with a semi-permanent liner.
At Lilac Rose Cosmetic Tattoo, you have the option of having your top eyeliner done, bottom eyeliner, top and bottom eyeliner, or a top and bottom lash line enhancement. It all depends on what look you want to achieve.
Lauren Zeidler of Lilac Rose says the eyeliner procedure will mean no more struggling to get that perfect line with your pencil or liquid eyeliner.
“Our semi-permanent eyeliner enhances your eyes with a soft, black liner to create a denser look through the lash line,” she says.
“It definitely makes your eyes pop.”
According to Lauren, it’s a surprisingly comfortable procedure too.
“Many people ask about how the procedure is performed, worried about the needle near the eye,” Lauren says.
“The eye is always closed and the artist will always have the skin very taught.
“The needle will never go into the eye with the skin stretched in a taught position.
“The result is simply amazing.”

Caring for your new cosmetic tattoo
Now that you’ve decided to have a cosmetic tattoo procedure to enhance your natural beauty at Lilac Rose, you’re well on the way to increased confidence and spending less time in front of the mirror in the morning. It’s important to look after your skin after you’ve had the procedure done to get the best results, and we often get a lot of questions about it. So, we’ve sat down with our leading lady Lauren Zeidler to ask her all about what to do and what to expect after your brow procedure.
What can I expect the healing process to be like?
After the brow tattoo is complete, you will need to wipe over the brows with a damp cotton pad every half-hour for three hours. This will remove any lymph fluid that is appearing on the skin. If this isn’t removed it may create a crust and remove the pigment in that area. A healing cream is to be applied for the next five days and no wetting the brows for five days.
How long does it take for a cosmetic tattoo to fully heal?
Brows will take four weeks to completely heal. At seven to 10 days, the colour of the brow will be settling into the skin and the colour will have faded into that nice, natural colour that suits your skin tone.
How do I look after the cosmetic tattoo when it's fresh?
The brows will appear darker in colour the first few days but fade to a nice soft, natural look. Don’t panic! Trust the process as the colour heals in the skin over the next seven to 10 days. Even though they may appear darker, there’s no need to hide. You’ll be fine to continue you normal day-to-day routine.
My tattoo is scabbing–is that normal?
Scabbing and dryness can occur, normally on day four or five as the brow starts to heal. This is normal. Don’t pick any dry or flaky areas as this may pull away pigment.
Can I go to the gym after having the procedure?
Gym and exercise are okay, but try to avoid excessive sweating. A good tip if going to the gym is place a barrier cream over the top of the brows for protection.
And what about swimming and bathing?
You can’t swim after you get your brows done, as you cannot wet them for five days. Head above the water is fine though. Same if you need to shower and wash your hair. Try to wash hair the day before you come in.
Is there anything else that’s important to know?
Brows are semi permanent and will fade in colour over time. Try to avoid sun, facial creams, chemical peels, and laser around the brow area as these may fade the brows. At 12 to 18 months we do recommend a colour refresh appointment.
If you have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to ask at the time of your appointment or give Lauren a call on 0430 943 022.
Beat the Heat with Henna Brows
Winter is well and truly gone and that means we’re heading back to the beach, getting outside more and undoubtedly having our makeup melt off in the Queensland heat. But, with henna brows or cosmetic tattooing, your brows will stay right were they should be, perfectly in place and beautifully enhanced.
The use of henna in beauty rituals actually dates back to the Pharaohs of Egypt some 9000 years ago; Cleopatra is even said to have used henna to adorn her body and beautify herself. It has been practised for centuries in the Middle East, India and Africa, and remains an important part of their culture, ceremonies and celebrations today.
Henna brows have grown in popularity in recent years, and are a great before-step for those who can’t quite commit to feather or ombre brow tattooing. But, it’s still long lasting compared to other temporary dyes, staying put for four to six weeks. Better yet, it’s a natural option as it’s made by crushing the henna plant into a powder, and then turning this into a paste.
Ombré brows the most popular brow on the market
Why brow tattooing is becoming the norm
If you’re on Instagram, or have caught up with your girl gang recently, you may have noticed that brow tattooing is becoming really normalised. While many of us are a little scarred by some of the looks we grew up with in the ‘90’s, brow tattooing is a safe and effective way to wake up every day with the brows you dream of.
How has it changed over the years?
New techniques and advances in equipment mean that today, we can create super natural looking brows, creating strokes as fine as hair if that’s the look you want. The technique and technology advancements mean a subtler and softer look than we’ve seen in the past.
What’s the most popular style?
Ombre brows are the most on-trend brow style at the moment, which create a soft powder look. Most of us powder our brows in the morning, so having ombre brows done creates this look without the hassle of painstakingly trying to perfect the shape, and getting both brows even. Lauren says, “wake up, don’t make-up”.
With brows that are cosmetic tattooed at Lilac Rose, your brows will always be the perfect shape, leaving you feeling bright, amazing and importantly: confident.
“Creating greater confidence in women and helping streamline and simplify their everyday morning routine is definitely something I love creating with my beautiful clients,” Lauren says.
“I love hearing how their amazing new brows have changed their life.”
What if I don’t like the result?
We totally get that something semi-permanent on your face can be a little daunting, but at Lilac Rose you’ll feel comfortable every step of the way. We take extra care to explain any questions you may have, and are experts in choosing the right brow shape for you to enhance your natural beauty. It’s also a misconception that cosmetic tattooing is the same as body tattooing, which is vastly different. Cosmetic tattooing uses different equipment and inks that degrade and fade over time.
Lip filler? Who needs it!
Full, plump lips are a look many of us want to achieve, as it gives us a youthful, glowy look. But, not all of us want to go down the road of injectables, which can look unnatural and require re-doing every six months.
So, Lilac Rose Cosmetic Tattoo is now offering a service that will give you that youthful-looking pout minus the lip filler – the blush lip tattoo.
The blush lip tattoo is a cosmetic tattoo procedure that gives a semi-permanent makeup look with a colour tint that enhances your lips’ natural flush. The brightness of the colour enhances the lips’ shape and size.
Modern technology and techniques used mean the colour is ultra-natural looking, beautifully blended and subtle, so you can totally abandon the idea of the stark lip-liner looks of yesteryear!
Each colour is custom made to suit each individual’s specific lip shade as well, which creates that beautiful subtlety.
This smudge-proof lip colour is perfect for those who have pale or patchy lips and want a boost, or those who are sick of reapplying lippy and want to make their make-up routine as minimal as possible.
The healing time of the lip blush procedure is only a few days, so there’s minimal downtime as well. The experts at Lilac Rose Cosmetic Tattoo can fill you in on all of the nitty gritty details and care procedures to follow when you’re in the salon.
